Second escaped Parchman inmate back in custody

SUNFLOWER COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An inmate who escaped from Mississippi State Penitentiary in Parchman Saturday morning is now back in custody.

Dillion Williams, 27, was captured Monday afternoon in Tennessee.

Williams is serving a 40 year sentence at residential burglary and aggravated assault in Marshall County.

Williams, and another inmate, David May, were discovered missing around 1:45 a.m. Saturday during an emergency count. May was taken back into custody on Sunday.

Monday morning, MDOC had offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to Williams’ arrest.
