Several child pornography arrests made in Monroe County
SMITHVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A sexting investigation is underway in Smithville.

Monroe County deputies have made 3 arrests already.
Drew Cox, 19, and Gavin Rosebud, 20, were arrested yesterday, while Omar Freeman, 19, was booked earlier today.
Deputies say Freeman is a senior at Smithville High School.
The alleged incident took place at a prom after-party off of Jones Road in Monroe County Saturday night, April 7.
Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says the men took advantage of a minor.
“When you start doing this thing and video-ing different sexual activities and then distributing that around it becomes a very serious situation. There’s a lot of people in trouble for this,” says Cantrell.
All of the suspect are Smithville residents and face a Child Pornography charge.
