Skull Identified In Missing Person Case

IUKA, Miss. (AP) – A Mississippi coroner says a human skull discovered last week belonged to a woman who had been missing since June.

Tishomingo Coroner Mack Wilemon tells the Daily Corinthian that lab tests confirmed the skull was from 43-year-old Susie Rena Lanier of Iuka.

Her husband reported her missing June 6. A Tishomingo County resident reported last week that his dogs brought the skull to his yard.

No other remains from the body have been found.
