LUCEDALE, Miss. (WCBI) – A south Mississippi lawmaker could be removed from office, if it’s proven he punched his wife.
Second-term Republican Representative Doug McLeod, of Lucedale was, arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence this past weekend.
George County deputies said McLeod was drunk and bloodied his wife’s nose after she didn’t undress quickly enough when he wanted to have sex.

The Speaker also asked legislative attorneys to research the removal of a representative if they don’t resign if any allegations are proven to be true.
