Sparkle, 1st woman to publicly accuse R. Kelly, speaks out on niece’s alleged abuse

In 2002, the singer Sparkle, or Stephanie Edwards, claimed her niece was the underage girl in an infamous sex video featuring R. Kelly. Although a jury acquitted R. Kelly, the Lifetime docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly” now credits Sparkle with shining a light on some of his alleged abuses. Jericka Duncan spoke to Sparkle about what’s changed since she first came out with her claims.
