Starkville House Fire

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- Firefighters rushed to put out a house fire in Starkville early this morning, December 21.

The Adaton-Self Creek and Central Oktibbeha fire departments were dispatched to 794 Yeates Subdivision Road at 3:49 am.

Upon arrival they found the attic area of the house on fire.

Firefighters were able to control the fire.

They believe the cause may have been electrical but will not comment at this time.

There are no injuries.

The fire department wants to remind everyone to have a smoke detector.
