Student resource officer accused of inappropriate contact with student

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) – An Aberdeen Schools Resource Officer is under investigation for alleged inappropriate contact with a student.

Superintendent Jeffrey Clay confirmed the investigation Tuesday morning.

Clay declined to release the name of the resource officer.

Sources told WCBI the allegations surround contact with two female students.

The officer is on leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

Aberdeen schools and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department have an inter-local agreement for SRO’s.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is assisting in this investigation.
