Suspect dies after shootout with police in Amory

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) – A suspect died after a shootout with police in Amory.

There are few details at this time, but what we do know is that Amory police exchanged gunfire with a suspect on Tschudi Road in the area of Walmart and the Huddle House.

The suspect is dead. No officers were injured.

Since it was an officer-involved shooting, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation will be in charge of the case.
