Suspect identified in fatal Webster County shooting

WEBSTER COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The suspect in a fatal Webster County shooting over the weekend has been identified.

Charles Potts, 33, is charged with murder. He’s being held without bond.

The Webster County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call from a home on Highway 182 West at around 2:30 Sunday morning.

A victim was suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to NMMC where he later died.

Family members have identified the victim as Jerome Collum.
