Suspect In Plant Shooting Named

TUPELO (WCBI) – An ongoing dispute between workers is behind a Wednesday night shooting at the Cooper Tire plant in Tupelo.

Tyson O’Neal Stewart is charged with aggravated assault after opening fire on a co-work around 8:15 last night.  The unidentified victim was hit multiple times but is in stable condition today.  A Tupelo Police officer located Stewart minutes after the shooting on the Cooper plant grounds and arrested him without incident.   A bond hearing will take place later today.
