Ta’Amu To Metcalf In The Final Seconds Downs Kentucky For Big Road Win

LEXINGTON, KY (WCBI) — After losing five of their last six games and coming off a heartbreaking loss to Arkansas, Ole Miss finally made the plays to win, scoring a touchdown with eight seconds left to defeat Kentucky, 37-34.

After a Benny Snell touchdown put the Wildcats up 34-30 with 2:14 seconds left in the fourth quarter, junior transfer quarterback Jordan Ta’Amu led a 14-play driving that was capped off by a three-yard touchdown to DK Metcalf, which ended up as the game winning score.

Another solid outing in his second start for the Rebels, Ta’Amu threw 31/40 for 382 yards and four touchdowns and no interceptions. Metcalf led the Rebels in receiving, catching five passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

Up next for Ole Miss (4-5, 2-4) is a home contest against University of Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday, November 11th.
