Team-up between law enforcement leads to five arrests in Chickasaw Co.

CHICKASAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office and the Houston Police Department teamed up to target illegal drugs in the area.

The coordinated effort netted five arrests.

Law enforcement officers arrested Carlomus Valentine, Traveircus Valentine, Laquincy Shoemaker, Dyesia Walker, and Kelvin Raphael Wilson, also known as “Flip”.

With help from the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit and Mississippi Alcoholic Beverage Control, Chickasaw County Deputies and Houston PD Officers secured four search warrants for locations in the Houston area.

Known as “Operation: Grow and Blow”, the searches netted seven pounds of marijuana, six ounces of crack cocaine, and a gun.

Charges include: Trafficking Marijuana, Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, enhanced by Possession of a Firearm, and Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Offense.

Law enforcement is still searching for two suspects, Walter Lacharius Randle and Tradavious Nicholas Valentine.

Operation: Grow and Blow is an ongoing investigation, and more arrests and charges are expected.
