Teen injured in Monroe County shooting

HATLEY, Miss. (WCBI)- A shooting investigation is underway in Monroe County after a teenager is shot by another teen, according to investigators.

Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says it happened Monday morning around 11:00 at a home on 278 East near Hatley.

Cantrell says an argument over a girl led to the shooting that injured one teen.

Investigators say he was shot in the elbow.

So far, no charges have been filed. The sheriff says the victim is stable.
