Teen murder suspect arrested

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- The search of a teenage murder suspect is over.

Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson says Latavious Betts, 17, is in custody.

Betts is suspected of shooting several rounds into a mobile home on County Road 45.

One of the bullets struck and killed Annie Walton, 66.

The drive by shooting happened Friday December 7th. 

Eight people were inside the home at the time of the shooing including two children.

Three others were hurt by gunfire.

Betts faces a murder an aggravated assault charge.

Sheriff Johnson says no other details are being released until Monday.
