Three men arrested in operation for enticing a child
Local, state, and federal agencies join forces for Operation Muddy Waters.
OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – Three men have been arrested in a joint operation — targeting child sexual abuse in Mississippi.
According to Oxford Police, authorities arrested Cooper Dennis Russell, 68, of Oxford, Mississippi, Laynez-Gonzalez Oseas Neftali, 29, of Memphis, Tennessee and Argueta Cristian Abel Giron, 33, of Rossville, Tennessee last month in Operation Muddy Waters — a joint federal, fatal, and local law Enforcement operation.
Each man was charged with Enticement of a Child to Meet for Sexual Purposes on July 22.
They are now in the LaFayette County Detention Center.
Over a two-week period in July, law enforcement made more than 60 arrests across the state.
The Oxford Police Department partnered with Homeland Security Investigations, the Mississippi Attorney General ‘s Office, and other local, state, and federal agencies in the operation.
