Troopers Investigate Tractor Trailer Wreck

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Mississippi state troopers are investigating an afternoon wreck involving a tractor trailer.

It happened on Highways 25 and 8 in Monroe County around 1 p.m.

Troopers say Shaniqua Jones, of Columbus, was heading north on Highway 25, when she hit a tractor trailer attempting to turn left onto the road.

Jones’ car was pinned underneath the box trailer.

She was taken to a Tupelo hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the tractor trailer, Jess Lee Boykin, of Brandon, wasn’t hurt.
