TSA Precheck Enrollment Is Back At The Golden Triangle Regional Airport
GOLDEN TRIANGLE, Miss. (WCBI) – The Golden Triangle Regional Airport is offering Transportation Security Administration Pre-check Enrollment all week.
The enrollment allows travelers to pass through security check-ins at more than 180 different airports.
It means passengers won’t have to remove their shoes, laptops and other items when going through security.
It costs $85 and lasts for five years.
Golden Triangle Regional Airport Executive Director Mike Hainsey says the pre-check enrollment is a great convenience for passengers.
“I had pre-check and it was a major airport in the West, and I went through and there were three people ahead of me, 45 minutes later, the person I was working with showed up at the gate. At a lot of the airports, the pre-check lines are shorter, plus they go faster because you don’t have to take your coat off, your shoes off, and empty all of your pockets.”
The 10 minute application must be done at the Golden Triangle Regional Airport and appointments are highly recommended.
A birth certificate, driver’s license, and passport are needed for enrollment
A background check will also be done.
Once cleared, an applicant will be enrolled within 30 days.
