Tupelo man accused of assault, breaking into woman’s home

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A Tupelo man was accused of breaking into his children’s mother’s home and assaulting her.

On Tuesday, Officers were called to a house in the 1200 block of Parkwood for a disturbance around 6:00 p.m.

Asa Adkins, 26, was identified as the suspect in the case. Adkins had left the house before police arrived.

The victim was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center ER and later discharged.

Adkins was arrested Wednesday and charged with aggravated domestic violence and burglary of an occupied dwelling.

His bond was set at $40,000.
