Tupelo man with history of sex crime charges faces another charge

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A Tupelo man with a history of sex crimes found himself facing another charge.

29-year-old Kendal Ackinson was being held without bond on a charge of statutory rape.

Sunday, Tupelo police took a report of a possible statutory rape.

The investigation reportedly led them to Ackinson as a suspect.

He was arrested on Monday and charged with the crime.

When he was arrested, it was found that Ackinson was a convicted sex offender.

The judge ordered him held without bond.
