Tupelo police investigate deadly shooting

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)- One man is dead another in custody following a shooting in Tupelo Monday afternoon.

Tupelo police say they were called to NMMC ER around 3:30 p.m. Monday for a reported shooting victim.

Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green has confirmed 27-year-old Toyrriius Lockridge of Tupelo is the victim.

Lockridge was deceased at the emergency room.

Police are releasing very little about the case at this time.

Police say they’re not looking for any other suspects.

The shooting remains under investigation.
