Two Charged With Smuggling Drugs Into Jail
PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Two people are in the Prentiss County jail after deputies say they tried to smuggle drugs into the same facility.
Booneville residents Megan Henley and Michael Martin were arrested Monday on charges of smuggling drugs and contraband into the jail.
Investigators say they searched the pair’s home, and found several grams of methamphetamine and other evidence.
They also charged Martin with possession with the intent to sell, transfer or deliver a controlled substance.
He’s since been released on bond.
Henley remains in jail for outstanding charges from the city of Booneville, and a hold for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
