Two people are facing child neglect charges in Calhoun County

CALHOUN COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Two people are facing child neglect charges in Calhoun County.

42-year-old John Lenard and 31-year-old Riley Phillips are both facing two counts of child neglect.

Calhoun County Sheriff Greg Pollan says the investigation started several weeks ago.

A call to Child Protective Services led to the start of the investigation.

Pollan tells WCBI that Lenard and Phillips were arrested after failing a drug test.

They remain in the Calhoun County jail.
