Two people wanted in Lamar County now in custody

LAMAR COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) – Two people wanted in Lamar County, Alabama, were captured on Wednesday in Steens.
According to a release, the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department arrested 39-year-old Justin Morris and 31-year-old Ashley Nicole Boyd.
Morris was charged with possession of a concealed weapon, and Boyd was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
Morris was wanted in Lamar County on a domestic violence incident that took place on Wheeler Road in Lamar County, Alabama.
After Lowndes County was notified that Morris may be in the area, Sheriff Eddie Hawkins and Deputy Jacob Stoll spotted the two at the Steens Superette.
When they located Morris, they found he had a rifle and two large knives attached to his belt, along with brass knuckles.
They were transported to the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.
This is an ongoing investigation, and more charges could be filed.
