Two separate traffic stops lead to drug busts

CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Deputies in Clay County get more drugs off the street with two arrests including the arrest of two Columbus men.

Ronald Gore, 24, was arrested after being pulled over on Broad Street Extended. Sheriff Eddie Scott said the department’s K-9 unit seized about a pound of marijuana.

The passenger in the car, Jessie Hutton, 26, was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.

Gore was charged with possession and intent.

In a separate traffic stop, Mike Weeks, 52, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

His bond was set at just over $6,000.
