U.S. Air Force Clarinet Quartet performs in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- On Sunday, the Mission Winds Clarinet Quartet performed in Columbus at the Rosenzweig Arts Center. The quartet is part of the United States Air Force.

Their performance is a part of their tour of northern Mississippi.  It was free and open to the public.

During the hour long set of music, the clarinet quartet performed from a variety of genres including Jazz, Latin, Classical, and Modern music.

There is more than 80 years of performing experience between the members of the quartet.

They are professional airmen musicians who have gone through basic training and are active duty full time military members.  The quartet performs more than 300 shows a year.

The next stop on their tour is Oxford, MS.  On Monday October 17 at 7 p.m. the group will perform at the Powerhouse Center.
