U.S. Marshals Arrest Convicted Sex Offender

LEE CO., Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – A Tupelo man is arrested for failing to register as a sex offender.

27-year-old Christopher Tyler Brown was arrested March 1st on a warrant issued by the Lee County Sheriff’s Department.

Brown was convicted of fondling in Panola County in 2009 and was ordered to register as a sex offender.

A tip was called in to law enforcement that Brown was falsifying where he lived.

When investigators looked into it, they found that Brown was living in Tupelo and had moved several times without changing his original registered address, which is a violation of the Sex Offender Registry Statute.

Brown appeared in court and his bond was set $15, 000 dollars.

He was presented to the Lee County Grand Jury this week.
