UPDATE – Man Charged For Opening Fire At Oxford Apartments

OXFORD (WCBI) – A Charleston man is jailed after turning the parking lot of a local apartment complex into his own private firing range.

Officers answered a Sunday call to Hathorn Road apartment building after witnesses reported a series of gunshots in the complex.

Patrolmen found around 10 shell casings in the area.

Descriptions led them to 20-year-old Rashaun Weekly of Charleston who has now been charged with aggravated assault and possesion of a stolen firearm. The gun used is an AR-10 rifle which has been traced back to a Tallahatchie County burglary..
