UPDATE- Suspect In Standoff Identified

TISHOMINGO COUNTY ( WCBI) – Tishomingo County authorities have identified the man who kept officers at bay during a Tuesday standoff.

34 year old William McVey is now jailed after he refused to surrender when officers served a warrant at a County Road 127 residence.   Sheriff John Daugherty says McVey was uncooperative and eventually barricaded himself in the home. Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Office workng with the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC), Mississippi Highway Patrol / Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MHP/MBI), and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics (MBN), talked him down.

He now faces aggravasted assault charges and felony taking of a motor vehicle accusations.
