Vehicle of interest in Alabama murder has Noxubee County plates
PICKENS COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) – The Pickens County Sheriff’s Department is trying to find a killer, and identify a victim after a weekend homicide.
Just after 10 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to reports of a person lying in the road on County Road 2.
They found the body of a Hispanic man.
Sheriff David Abston said he had at least one gunshot wound to the upper body.
There was no identification on the victim.
Investigators are trying to determine if this case is related to a recent missing person case.
The body has been taken to Montgomery for an autopsy.
“We hope to get some more information for our investigation from the autopsy, and we are determined to solve this case and bring the perpetrators to justice,” said Pickens County, Alabama Sheriff David Abston.
The sheriff has identified a vehicle of interest, a gold 2004 Chevy Suburban with Noxubee County plates NX2466.
