Vernon man pleads guilty to producing child pornography

VERNON, Ala. (WCBI) – A Vernon man will spend the next 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to producing child pornography.

Kyle Wesley Williams entered the plea in Lamar County Circuit Court.

Williams produced explicit images of a young child on several occasions between 2018 and 2020.

The investigation, which involved the District Attorney’s Sexual Assault Unit and the Vernon Police Department, began when Vernon police learned of the abuse during an unrelated incident involving Williams in 2021.

Williams has been in jail since his arrest.

He will not be eligible for parole.
