Vernon woman accused of stealing car, drug possession

CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A woman suspected of stealing a car is also facing a drug charge.

Rebecca Hallman, 31, of Vernon, Alabama was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine in Clay County. She also faces a charge of Taking a Motor Vehicle in Lamar County, Alabama.

Hallman was stopped by Clay County deputies early Friday morning on Highway 50 after they responded to a call of a potentially stolen car. Hallman was also found with a small amount of methamphetamine on her.

She remains behind bars, with a hold from Lamar County.

Hallman’s bond was set at $5,000 in Clay County.
