Video: #1 Alabama Rolls Through Ole Miss

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WCBI) — The past three seasons between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Ole Miss Rebels have been decided in down to the wire contests. Saturday night did not produce similar results.

The Rebels entered Bryant-Denney Stadium as winners of two of the last three matchups against the Crimson Tide, but #1 Alabama (5-0, 2-0) made sure it wouldn’t come to the fourth quarter, as the Tide led 35-3 at halftime, eventually defeating Ole Miss (2-2, 0-1) 66-3.

Another game of almost 200 yards passing and 100 yards rushing for Alabama sophomore quarterback Jalen Hurts, who finished with three total touchdowns.

Shea Patterson was under constant pressure from the Alabama pass rush, being sacked five times and throwing two interceptions. Jordan Wilkins rushed for 101 yards, and Damarkus Lodge led the Rebels in receiving with two catches for 72 yards.

Up next for #1 Alabama, a trip to Kyle Field to take on Texas A&M, Saturday. The Ole Miss Rebels will being on the road yet again in the state of Alabama, traveling to take on #13 Auburn on Saturday.
