Video: #1 EMCC Outlasts #4 Northwest To Win State Title In OT Thriller

SENATOBIA, Miss. (WCBI) — #1 EMCC takes homes the sixth MACJC state championship in nine seasons in thrilling fashion, outlasting #4 Northwest in overtime, 67-66.

Trailing 66-59, Lions quarterback Lindsey Scott found Dontario Drummond for the touchdown, and head coach Buddy Stephens decision to go for two worked just the way he wanted to, with a conversion winning it for the Lions.

Scott finished with 575 total yards of offense, with five passing touchdowns in the win.

Former Oxford Charger Jack Abraham finished with 487 passing yards and five touchdowns for Northwest. Former Aberdeeen Bulldog Jerrick Orr lead the way in receiving for the Rangers, compiling 10 catches, 122 yards, and two touchdowns.

#1 EMCC will await a decision on a national championship berth.
