VIDEO: 7th Avenue Fun Fest Continues

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- The 7th Avenue Fun Festival continues Saturday.  The annual event began on Friday.

Vendors from all across the state have set up shop at the intersection of 7th Avenue and 15th Street on Columbus’ north side.

During segregation, 7th Avenue was the entertainment, food, and shopping district for African Americans living in the North Mississippi.

The year the festival celebrates its’ 34 year.  Organizers say the festival is the largest free outdoor block party in Mississippi.
