Video: “It’s Alabama-LSU. Doesn’t Get Any Bigger”: Tide Ready for the Tigers

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WCBI/UA Athletics) – The University of Alabama football team continued its practice slate on Tuesday afternoon for this weekend’s matchup with LSU, putting in two hours of work in full pads at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.

The Crimson Tide will be faced with the task of stopping an LSU rushing attack that ranks fifth in the conference with 216.2 yards a game. Not to be overlooked is the Tigers’ defense, which also ranks fifth in the conference in total defense. The two SEC West rivals will square off at 7 p.m. CT on CBS for a primetime matchup at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The trio of Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson and Allie LaForce will call the game for the second consecutive contest.

Alabama and LSU will meet for the 82nd time this Saturday. The Crimson Tide leads the all-time series, 51-25-5, and won last year’s meeting, 10-0, in Baton Rouge. Alabama has won the last six meetings between the two schools, including a 30-16 win in the Tigers’ last visit to Tuscaloosa in 2015. Alabama head coach Nick Saban is 8-4 in his career against LSU, including an 8-3 mark at Alabama. LSU head coach Ed Orgeron is 0-4 all-time against the Crimson Tide, including a 0-1 mark with the Tigers.
