If you’ve ever gone shopping on black friday you know things can get intense that’s why Robin’s Unique Boutique of Aberdeen is beefing up for the rush.

“I’ve got extra people to help with the lines as far as getting people to move through and extra baggers. We kinda watch people to people to make sure they don’t get ant-C or upset or what ever,” Robins Unique Boutique owner Robin Bounds said.

Aberdeen Police Chief Henry Randle says though their in a small city law enforcement must be on the alert.

“It draws a lot of crowd from different areas and we have to make sure that our guys are in position where they can handle the influx crowds and make sure that we are on schedule to make sure that there’s no one that’s going to be standing around loot or take something someone else has purchased,” said Randle.

Robin Bowndes says this is an exciting day of year and her business prepares all year. She says the support of local law enforcement helps to make it even better.

“Our police department does really well with helping us. They watch our store really good. so you know we just don’t really have any problems. The main thing is to be aware of what’s around you,”said Bounds.

Randle says security is their top concern, especially this time of year but there are a few tips the public can use to cut down on the holiday shopping headache.

“If you have to go shopping go with a friend make sure you place all items in the trunk try and do everything by debit card,” said Randle.

But randle says the most important thing is…

“Not carry so much cash not to carry wallets. If you can just carry you hand purse thing to where you don’t have a belt strap or something the purse hold. Because guys can easily try and grab that and you know it’s going to cause an injury if you try and hold on to it a fight may break out,”said Randle.
