VIDEO: BYU Hostile Environment Prepares Bulldogs For Road Tests

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — The Mississippi State Bulldogs faced a hostile environment in Provo last Friday in it’s double overtime loss to BYU.

The young Bulldogs team will need to get accustomed to the tough road test with the upcoming schedule, this week at Kentucky, as well as trips to Tuscaloosa and Oxford coming up in November.

Head Coach Dan Mullen saids the intense crowds like what the team experienced Friday will help prepare them for the big SEC games.

“I think just the more you do it, the more comfortable you are”, said Mullen.

“I don’t think, you know, you look at the environment, I think our guys handled the environment the other night spectacular. We didn’t even use our sideline cadence, the quarterback was able to use his own cadence out there, which we’re not able to do in a lot of road games. The guys adjusted to that, any adjustment we made they handled it. I think that just comes from experience and having to play in tough environments. The more you do it, the more comfortable you are with it.”
