VIDEO: The City Of Aberdeen Holds A Candlelight Vigil In Memory Of LaQuinton Walker

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI)- The city of Aberdeen is praying for peace and healing after losing one of its own to gun violence.

On Friday, the community came together to host a candlelight vigil for 17-year old LaQuinton Walker who was found dead in the yard of an Aberdeen home early Sunday morning.

Friends and classmates of Walker said he was an outgoing man who always had a smile on his face.

“LaQuinton, he was always a person who lifted you up when you were down,” said Jaquan Doss, Walker’s classmate. “He always made you smile no matter if we’re having a bad day. You never seen him sad and we’re going to truly miss him.”

Aberdeen Police are still searching for a possible suspect.

They want to speak with Darren Wilburn, evidence points to him possibly being the shooter.
