COLUMBUS, Miss.(WCBI)–During the holidays Columbus Christian Academy Rams can help.

That can help involves students in grades K through 12 collecting food for low income and needy around the holiday season.

The can goods are going to be dropped off at Columbus Helping Hands a United Way agency.

In just two weeks time, students in each of the grades donated at least 25 cans.

“I think its just good to help those in need. Specially around this time when its kind of stressful trying to find gifts for your children,” said Gail Forstner/CCA Teacher.

“We’re really excited about being able to help others and being, meet their needs. Because Christmas is about giving not getting,” said Stephen Russell/CCA Student.

In the spirit of giving, every year students launch the can food drive around Thanksgiving and Christmas.
