VIDEO: County Board Members are Excited for the new Industrial Park Site
OKITBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – With the property for the new Oktibbeha County industrial park, aldermen and supervisors look forward to working on bringing manufacturers to the area.
Two $7 million bonds were approved to purchase the property.
Greater Starkville Developmental Partnership President, Scott Maynard, says that there is already interest in the area, and they are ready for the future of the county’s infrastructure.
“We’re excited about this. This gives the GTR Link and Mr. Higgins the resources necessary to go out and be able to recruit industry to come to our region. We want to provide wonderful opportunities and quality paying opportunities for all citizens of Oktibbeha County and Starkville,” said Maynard.
Maynard spoke on these plans as well as the GSDP at the Blue Ribbon Business lunch and meeting in Starkville.
