Video: Discussions Underway to Impeach Ala. Governor

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WCBI) — The beginning stages are underway to try to kick Alabama’s governor out of office.

State lawmakers met Wednesday to discuss grounds for impeaching Governor Robert Bentley.

Bentley is under federal investigation for an inappropriate relationship with an aide, and misuse of office.

Wednesday’s committee meeting focused on setting the ground rules for impeachment.

23 lawmakers signed articles of impeachment, accusing Bentley of corruption in office, and willful neglect of duty.
