VIDEO: Dozens Of Kids In Aberdeen Receive Early Christmas Surprises

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI)- Christmas came early for several kids in Aberdeen.

More than 40 children received bikes, toys, stuffed animals, and other surprises on Thursday.

This is all part of Aberdeen’s annual Angel Tree Program.

Organizers say this event is special because it helps provide Christmas gifts to the families who are in need.

“When we have community efforts we want to absolutely give back to the children. We want to make sure that their Christmases are extra special and that they have huge smiles when they wake up on Christmas morning,” said Sara Nerren, director of the Angel Tree Program.

As the kids received their gifts, parents wrote “Thank You” notes to the donors who helped purchase the gifts for everyone to enjoy.
