Video: East Union Downs Loyd Star in Game 1, Aims for First State Title on Friday

PEARL, Miss. (WCBI) — It has been a long time coming, but the wait could soon be over.

Behind senior pitcher Witt Roaton, who pitched a complete game, East Union dispatched Loyd Star on Tuesday in Game 1 of the 2A State Title series, 5-1.

Cade Bell, Ty McDonald and Joel Wilkinson were the big bats at the plate for the Epic Urchins as all three posted 2-hit games against the Hornets.

East Union will go for their first ever baseball State Championship on Friday in Game 2 at 1:00pm versus Loyd Star.
