VIDEO: Freeze Appreciative Of Orgeron

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — Another week, another big game for the #23 Ole Miss Rebels.

The Rebels travel to death valley to take on the #25 LSU Tigers, and a familiar face is now the main man in Baton Rouge.

Former Ole Miss head coach Ed Orgeron has led the Tigers since Les Miles was removed, and has led LSU back into the top 25.

Rebels head coach Hugh Freeze was brought into the program by Orgeron, and said he owes a lot to the coach he’ll be facing on the opposite sidelines..

“Without him just giving me an opportunity to come here and be in an off-the-field position, and to learn from him in recruiting, and the things that I watched him do and how persistent and how he did his things with great passion” Freeze said.

“I learned a lot from him and I’m very indebted for the time I had and the opportunity that he gave me. I really don’t know that my career does what it does without the opportunity that he gave me.”

Freeze is 4-4 against rival LSU in his tenure with Ole Miss.
