ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI)- She may be gone, but Teresa Ewing is certainly not forgotten.

Friends, family and members of the community gathered this evening on what would have been Teresa’s 26th birthday.

Loved ones released pink balloons and held a candlelight vigil to honor the mother of 3.

Teresa went missing earlier this year and was found dead in September.

Teresa’s family say they’re truly blessed that the community is taking time out to carry on her legacy.

“People that didn’t know her have grown to love her and it shows a lot of affection,” said Irene Ewing, Teresa’s older sister.

“It makes me think, you know, there’s goodness in this world. When bad stuff happens, there are still good people out there,” said Erica Hoskins, one of the creators of the tribute.

Family members and friends also sang songs for Teresa.
