Video: Habitat to Build Starkville Nurse New Home
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — A Starkville nurse will soon be getting a new home, thanks to Habitat for Humanity.
Rachelle Paster works at OCH Regional Medical Center, and has an 11-month-old daughter.
She was surprised with the good news Friday afternoon.
“To be able to help her get into a nice home for her and for her child is just rewarding beyond what we can say,” said Robbie Richardson, Habitat for Humanity.
“It feels so good inside, just to know that I’m going to have a place for me and my daughter to go,” Paster said. “I just feel really good inside, and I just want to thank Habitat and God for believing in me, and giving me a place to live.”
It took Habitat volunteers a year to raise $85,000 for the home.
It’s the 62nd one for the Starkville organization.
Construction will start next year.
