VIDEO: Heritage Museum Scans Photos to Preserve History
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- Old photos are helping to play a part in preserving Mississippi’s history. Saturday Mississippi State University along with The Oktibbhea County Heritage Museum the hosted a photo scan-a-thon. Starkville residents were asked to bring in their old photos. The photos were scanned. They will be stored and managed by the Mississippi State University Library. They’ll also be available for viewing at the Heritage Museum. MSU’s Museums and Galleries coordinator Amy Moe-Hoffman says events like this are important. The scan-a-thon is part of the ongoing celebrations of Mississippi’s Bicentennial.
