Video: Johnson, #12 Auburn Run Past Rebels

AUBURN, Ala. (WCBI) — Kerryon Johnson sets a career-high 204 yards and picks up his third straight game with three touchdowns at #12 Auburn takes advantage of Ole Miss’ leaky run defense, and the Rebels fall. 44-23.

Back-to-back weeks of slow starts in the Yellowhammer State downs Ole Miss, as the Rebels (2-3, 0-2) trailed Auburn (5-1, 3-0) 35-3 at halftime. The Rebels outscored the Tigers 20-9 the rest of the way, but the deficit was too large to overcome.

Sophomore quarterback Shea Patterson finished 34-51, 346 yards and two touchdowns, both to DK Metcalf in the second half. AJ Brown led the Rebels in receiving, catching 10 passes for 101 yards.

Ole Miss also saw another productive week on the ground from Jordan Wilkins, who rushed thirteen times for 65 yards and a touchdown, while also catching five passes for 66 yards.

UP NEXT

Ole Miss finally returns to Oxford after a three-game roadtrip, facing Vanderbilt (3-3, 0-3). The Commodores lost 45-14 to #5 Georgia, Saturday.

#12 Auburn goes on the road to LSU (4-2, 1-1), who upset #21 Florida in Gainesville, Saturday, 17-16.
