VIDEO: Kelly Regrets Being On Field During Brawl

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — The Ole Miss Rebels are coming off the bye week preparing for an SEC showdown against the #22 Arkansas Razorbacks.

During the bye week, senior quarterback and Heisman Trophy hopeful Chad Kelly made headlines while back home in Buffalo, New York.

Kelly ran onto the field of his brother, Casey’s high school football game during a brawl that started after his brother was hit late on a play.

“That’s a bad decision on my part that I made”, Kelly said, “If I could have did it differently, I definitely would have. I obviously went out and ran on the field, of course. But, I regret doing it.

“At the same time, I’m sure any of if we seen a family member out there in need of help, we would’ve came to the rescue too but looking forward to the next game, we just got to keep working hard and I have to make right decisions.”

Head coach Hugh Freeze said the team will not discipline the starting quarterback.
