TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Famous names in the arts, sciences, and historical figures were represented at a local elementary school this afternoon.

Recently, second graders at Tupelo’s Parkway Elementary had to read biographies of famous people and make a report for a class assignment.

To finish the lesson, students were also asked to dress up as the subject of their study, and be part of a live “wax” museum.

So this afternoon, Parkway’s Gym was turned into a wax museum. Family and friends of students could stop by, and hear all about famous people students studied.

Some of those famous faces included, First Lady Michelle Obama, Astronaut Neil Armstrong, President Abraham Lincoln, and of course, Elvis.
